Empty every compartment
Check each drawer, the space behind drawers, jewelry trays, hidden shelves, and the area underneath. Remove personal property before the crew handles the dresser.
Measure the hard points
Record the dresser width, height, and depth. Compare those measurements with the bedroom door, stair width, ceiling at the stair turn, and the narrowest hall corner.
Identify removable parts
Mirrors, loose shelves, drawers, and feet may need separate handling. Photograph unusual fasteners and keep removed hardware together. Do not dismantle a piece if you are unsure how it is supported.
Quick readiness list
- Drawers and cabinets empty
- Mirror disclosed and removable hardware gathered
- Path and stair measurements recorded
- Floor level and parking shared
- Damage or instability photographed
