Know what the table is made of
Solid wood, stone, glass, veneer, and extendable tables need different handling. Photograph the top, base, connection points, and any existing damage.
Check what comes apart
Table leaves, legs, pedestals, and crossbars may be removable. Keep hardware in one container. Glass or stone components should be identified before the estimate.
Measure the exit
Compare the tabletop length and width with doors, hall turns, stair landings, and elevator dimensions. Include the distance from the room to practical truck parking.
Questions to answer first
- What is the tabletop material?
- Do the legs or base detach?
- Are leaves or glass inserts present?
- Are there stairs or tight turns?
- Is a hutch or set of chairs included?
